Hello! Nice to meet you. My name’s María, and the little soul in the photo is Ringo, my companion on this adventure called Slowers. Why? Well, let me tell you my story so you can understand how this small dog has become my traveling companion on the way to a slow life.
Some time ago I went through a crisis, not the big one we are all supposed to be going through, but a personal crisis, one of those that come into your life like a tornado and make you rethink everything you’ve done so far and where you have got to in your life. And so, in a moment of extreme sincerity, I came to realize that may be I didn’t like where I was as much as I had thought I did.
Faced with this existential dilemma, I decided to take action and made a big decision: I bought a dog.
Ringo and I started walking in the countryside every morning, in the sun, rain, wind and even snow. Every morning, 365 days a year. During this time we have walked up and down, we have found beautiful paths, we have enjoyed lovely sunrises and the changing seasons. Almost always alone, listening to the silence that nature gives us at that time of the morning
And as I was walking I began to connect to my own pace, I started to tune in to nature, my creativity started to bloom and with each walk, Slowers took shape. Step by step I identified my values and my purpose in this world, and a few more walks gave me the courage to leave behind my fears and plunge headlong into the adventure of life.
And here I am, walking at my own pace, with a project that I love, a life that is taking the course that I decided, and keen to tell the world that we need to slow down our pace so we can find ourselves, open our minds to enjoy the little things, and start LIVING.
Thanks for visiting my world.
